About Blue Pencil
Founded in 2018 by women entrepreneurs Antara Nanda Mondal and Madhu Verma, Blue Pencil is a literary publishing house built on editorial integrity, design excellence, and long term author care.
We are an offshoot of two respected literary platforms, Learning and Creativity and Silhouette Magazine, and carry forward their commitment to thoughtful writing and serious publishing.
We’re a team that works in rhythm, bringing editorial precision, design clarity, and publishing know-how together. We’re editors, designers, and digital folks who know books inside out and care deeply about getting things right.
We’re serious about quality, a little obsessive about details, and friendly enough to laugh while fixing commas. Most of all, we love working with authors and believe good books deserve thoughtful, human attention.
