Dr Asit Kar is a famous General and Vascular Surgeon based in UK for more than 5 decades. He has had many accolades and awards in his medico life, significant being a gold medalist in medicine from RG Kar Medical College, Kolkata. Coming from a village of Midnapore, Dr Kar through his sheer brilliance and knowledge has worked his way through multiple hospitals of India, UK and even Africa where he did a lot of charitable work as a doctor and president of Lions Club of Mufulira, Zambia. He still returns to his roots in Midnapore every year where he helped to build a secondary girls school in his father’s name and awards scholarship for the best girl student. He lives in Doncaster, England with his medico wife, son, daughter and grandchildren.
